Local Area

Southern Cornwall has lots of things to do, and for all ages. Here are some of our favourite recommendations:

Explore the Lizard Peninsula

The Lizard Peninsula is a stunning area stretching from the small market town of Helston, right down to the Lizard point itself. Helston is the local town just 15 mins away.

The village of Mullion is close-by and offers good pubs and the safe-swimming beach of Poldhu Cove.

The harbour town of Porthleven comes to life every April with the popular Food Festival, and take a visit to the small fishing cove of Coverack with its thatched Cornish cottages and secluded beach.

Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty

We are located in a recognised Area of Outstandng Natural Beauty (ANOB), surrounded by conservation areas managed by the National Trust and Natural England.

There are many walking routes in the immediate area – taking you through a landscape of fishing coves, breathtaking coastlines, wooded riverbanks and secluded beaches. Areas to explore include:

Lizard Point & Lighthouse

Cadgwith Cove

Kynance Cove

Helford Creek
